Despite various reports (Sun and Daily Mirror), the english supermodel Kate Moss and Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty did not marry in a Buddhist ceremony in Thailand.
"Contrary to various entirely false media reports today, there has not been any kind of marriage ceremony in Thailand. She is on holiday," her spokesman, Stuart Higgins, said in a statement Tuesday.
British newspapers reported that Moss and Doherty had held the ceremony in the Thai resort of Phuket. Neither the Sun nor the Daily Mirror provided sources for the information.
Since meeting at Kate birthday party in January 2005, the couple have had a turbulent relationship marked by Doherty's repeated arrests for drug possession. Pop singer Robbie Williams said of Moss' relationship with Doherty, "I can understand why Kate finds it difficult to leave Pete, he has a certain charisma surrounding him."
Moss is the mother of a 4-year-old daughter, Lila Grace, whose father is her ex-boyfriend, fashion magazine "Dazed & Confused" editor Jefferson Hack.
