with 8 of the Top 10 Latin albums in the country, according to SoundScan.
The albums include Luis Fonsi's "Palabras Del Silencio" (#1) (Universal
Latino); Alacranes Musical's "Tu Inspiracion" (Fonovisa) (#2); Daddy
Yankee's "Talento de Barrio" (#3) (Machete); Wisin y Yandel's "Los
Extraterrestres" (#5) (Machete); Enrique Iglesias's "95/08 Exitos" (#6)
(Universal Latino); Los Dareyes De La Sierra's "Con Banda" (#8) (Disa);
Marco Antonio Solis' "Una Noche En Madrid" (#9) (Fonovisa); and Los
Temerarios' "Si Tu Te Vas" (#10) (Fonovisa).
Moreover, UMLE's artists also garnered 50 Latin Grammy nominations this
week, providing UMLE with the most nominations within the industry. Leading
the field is CAFE TACVBA with 6 nominations for their critically-acclaimed
album, "Sino." Additional nominations went to superstar Juanes (5), Academy
Award-winning songwriter and producer Gustavo Santaolalla (5), Los
Temerarios (2), Pedro Fernandez, Los Tigres Del Norte, Conjunto Primavera,
Wisin y Yandel, Jenni Rivera, and Conjunto Primavera, among many others.
