"The tools we need to dramatically reduce our carbon emissions exist today," said President Clinton. "When it comes to climate change, the hurdles we face aren't technological, they're organizational, which is why my foundation is partnering with cities, businesses, nonprofits and schools alike to design systems and programs that reduce energy consumption. I'm grateful to them all for working to show the world that the solution to the climate crisis isn't far off in the future -- it's in the buildings we inhabit, our civic infrastructure and the way we organize our lives."

Jim Davis, president Chevron Energy Solutions said, "We are delighted to be part of an important program that will help deliver a step change in how our major cities think about and consume energy. This initiative is founded on collaboration, an approach that Chevron believes is central to the solution of some of today's major energy and environmental issues."

Chevron Energy Solutions provides public institutions and businesses with environmentally sound projects that increase energy efficiency, reduce energy costs and ensure reliable, high-quality power for critical operations. The company employs proven technologies to meet customers' specific needs. Parent company Chevron Corp is investing across the energy spectrum to develop energy sources for future generations by expanding the capabilities of alternative and renewable energy technologies. Chevron spent approximately $2 billion on alternative and renewable energy and energy efficiency services between 2002 and 2006, and expects to spend an additional $2.5 billion on this between 2007 and 2009.
