Amazon Web Services LLC, a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN), today launched the Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS), a new persistent storage feature for the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2). Amazon EC2 is an infrastructure service that provides resizable compute capacity in the cloud.
