CBS News
and CNET.com, now part of the same CBS Corporation family, struck their
second content-sharing arrangement in as many weeks with planned coverage
of this Friday's highly anticipated launch of the iPhone 3G.
CBS News and CNET.com will begin covering the unveiling starting at
7:30 AM on CBS's THE EARLY SHOW, with CBS Tech Correspondent Daniel Sieberg
live at the Fifth Avenue Manhattan Apple Store before its doors open to the
public at 8:00 AM. Inside the EARLY SHOW studio, CNET's Natali Del Conte
will provide viewers with a look at Apple iPhone 3G alternatives.
Immediately following the broadcast, viewers can go directly to CNETTV.com
where Sieberg and Del Conte will continue live coverage from the Manhattan
Apple store. Also on CNET.com, Brian Cooley and Tom Merritt will host a
special edition of CNET Live, and will take live calls from viewers from
its San Francisco studio. Viewers can send their questions via email at
cnetlive@cnet.com or can call 888-900-CNET (2638) to speak directly with
the CNET editors. Throughout the day, CBS and CNET will continue to provide
coverage to local TV and radio stations. Also, CNET will feature iPhone
3G-related videos, stories, and an in-depth review on their site.
