MOTOROKR E6
MOTOROKR E6

Motorola Inc. was honored this evening with the Best Mobile Ad Campaign prize at the Asian Mobile News Awards, the most influential awards ceremony for the mobile/telecoms sector in the Asia Pacific region. Motorola won the award for its highly effective advertising campaign in Mainland China and Hong Kong for the MOTOROKR E6, incorporating Jay Chou, one of Asia's most popular musical artists. Motorola's RAZR campaign with David also won praise from the judging panel for its originality and ingenuity.

Held around a gala event at Singapore's prestigious Shangri-La hotel, the Asian Mobile News Awards 2007 was organized by regional publication Asian Mobile News, a top tier publication in Asia Pacific focusing on the telecommunications industry in the region. This marks the fourth year of the Awards, which aims to recognize innovators in Asia's mobile industry who have delivered the best products and solutions to the industry. Winners for each category were selected by a majority vote by the publication's readers.

When selecting Motorola for this award, the judging panel noted that the MOTOROKR E6 campaign had been particularly well communicated across both the China and Hong Kong markets. The campaign neatly melded TV commercials, print features, point-of-sale, online, and out-of-home advertising into a consistent 360-degree program. In each medium, Jay Chou was featured prominently and consistently to showcase the new MOTOROKR E6's advanced video and graphics functions while at the same time reaffirming Jay's position as one of the most unique and creative artists in the world - qualities echoed in the Motorola brand.

"We are honored to receive this recognition of the creativity and originality that went into the MOTOROKR E6 campaign, and it is particularly gratifying to see Jay's work with Motorola receiving the praise that he so rightly deserves," said Ian Chapman-Banks, VP, Marketing, Asia Pacific Mobile Devices for Motorola. "We are especially pleased because this was a campaign entirely conceived, designed, and developed in China and Hong Kong to reach out to China's sophisticated mobile music aficionados."

With MOTOROKR, Motorola has redefined the mobile music experience, creating a product that integrates iconic design, software, unique hardware features and powerful accessories into devices that sound as good as they look. These efforts reached their peak with MOTOROKR E6, the pinnacle of Motorola's heritage, innovation, and leadership in multimedia, providing a winning balance in portable entertainment and business efficiency.

Dedicated music keys, expandable memory, movie watching and moviemaking capabilities, plus all of the essential business tools, are just the beginning - the E6 is truly the ultimate entertainment PDA. The new handset offers a superior mobile multimedia experience in a stylish device that lets you create, enjoy, and share your music, videos, photos, and games, all while managing your work and your life.

"The promise of MOTOROKR is simple - a superior mobile experience that gives you faster and easier access to your music, all while setting you free of wires and clumsy accessories," Chapman-Banks continued. "MOTOROKR E6 does all of this in a cool, beautiful yet compact device that is so good looking, people won't believe it's a music phone."
