Sega Ships The Club In North America

Wed, Feb 20, 2008

SEGA® of America, Inc. today announced that The Club™ has shipped to retailers across North America for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, and Games for Windows®. Creating a radically new kind of action experience, The Club combines the shooting genre with the break-neck speed of high-octane race titles.

Developed by the award-winning studio Bizarre Creations, The Club is an action-shooter that enables players to fight as one of eight uniquely trained killers in a shadowy underground blood-sport. The anonymous, obscenely wealthy and influential members of the Club place their bets on who will survive as the bloodbath ensues before them. Motivated by greed, all eight characters represent a variety of countries and backgrounds and fight with their own unique combat techniques in an attempt to stay alive in the most ruthless underground elite fighting club. In addition to the intense single-player experience, The Club also features eight different multiplayer modes for up to eight players at a time, as well as supporting Microsoft's Xbox LIVE and Games for Windows - LIVE online entertainment networks.

"The Club presents a refreshing twist on the action genre and delivers an intense next-gen experience that gamers will never forget" said Elliott Chin, Director of Marketing at SEGA. "With a great cast of characters, global locations, and a ton of unique gameplay modes, this club has something for everyone"

The Club carries a suggested retail price of $59.95 and is rated "M" for "Mature"
