Match.com Interface

Match.com, the company that made online dating a worldwide phenomenon, is once again changing the way people meet and find love with the launch of the new MatchMobile. Starting today, millions of Match.com members won't have to wait to hear from a potential date or mate.

Members can receive free text alerts when someone winks or emails, and also search the entire Match.com relationship network, all from their cell phone. "With the new MatchMobile, we're letting people connect with their matches the same way they connect with their colleagues, friends and family -- instantly and through the convenience of a cell phone," said Thomas Enraght-Moony, CEO of Match.com. "With MatchMobile, we have changed the dating dynamics. We've taken away the waiting and wondering by giving members instant access to not only emails and winks, but also the entire Match.com network, whenever and wherever they are."

With MatchMobile, users can connect more easily to find a match by:

  • Searching among thousands of local member profiles to read about a potential match, right from their cell phones,
  • Receiving text message alerts when they are sent a "wink" (a quick way to express interest) or an e-mail from another Match.com member, and
  • Allowing MatchMobile users to easily send and respond to e-mails and "winks" from their cell phones.

"Imagine what MatchMobile will do for the business traveler who's constantly on the go, waiting for a flight home," said Dr. Ian Kerner, a Match.com relationship expert. "They're thinking of the long, lonely weekend ahead, and suddenly they receive a wink or an email -- it could brighten their day and change their Saturday night plans."

Members simply sign up for the new service from their Match.com online account at http://www.match.com and can opt to receive free text alerts, wink and search. And, for only $4.99 per month, Match.com subscribers can read and respond to their emails right from their cell phone.

Powered by Trilibis Mobile, MatchMobile service is available today in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. and will be rolled out in nine additional countries by year end.
