BEA Systems, Inc., a world leader in enterprise infrastructure software, today announced WebLogic Real Time ™ 2.0, the latest release of the company's Java real-time technology and the industry's only real-time solution with guaranteed microsecond pause times for standard Java applications with no special coding required.

BEA WebLogic Real Time 2.0 takes latency and performance to new levels with a guaranteed worst-case pause time of 10 milliseconds and average pause times as low as sub-millisecond, down from its previous ground-breaking 30-millisecond worst case. This improvement in performance is achieved through extreme optimization and new techniques for bounding latency. In some industry-specific, mission-critical applications, guaranteed sub-second latency can mean the difference of as much as millions of dollars per day in increased profit.

The product's unmatched performance brings Java's benefits of developer productivity and standardization deeper into domains such as financial trading and control systems that have traditionally been programmed in C or C++.
