The Bentley Brooklands is a full-size luxury sedan introduced for 1992 as the marque's new flagship after the Bentley Mulsanne and Bentley Eight were discontinued.
Today Bentley has revealed an all new model in the form of the
Brooklands coupe for the
77th International Motor Show. Described as a "grand touring coupe with classic British proportions," the new 2+2 coupe gets its name from the Brooklands circuit in Surrey, where Bentley used to race back in the 1920's.
The mega-coupe is powered by
Bentley's all-aluminum 6.75L turbocharged V8 developing 500hp and 775 ft-lbs of torque. Only 505 models are planned for production, with the first deliveries scheduled to start in the first half of next year. The Brooklands features a pillar-less profile, 20inch alloys with a mirror finish and acres of rear-legroom in the back.
Inspired by the exploits of the 'Bentley Boys' at the famous Brooklands racetrack in the 1920's, the new Bentley Brooklands captures all the style, power and splendour of that era. A grand touring coupe with classic British proportions and a strictly limited lifetime production of 550 cars.
