Nissan North America Announces March Sales

Nissan North
America, Inc. (NNA) today reported sales of 106,921 units in March, up 3.6
percent on a daily sales rate basis. NNA posted a sales increase of 3.0
percent for fiscal year 2007, ending March 31, 2008, versus FY06.
NISSAN HIGHLIGHTS
- Nissan-brand vehicles saw sales of 93,100 units in March, a 3.1 percent
increase on a daily sales rate basis compared with March's 97,242 units
sold.
- Nissan Division's volume for the 2007 fiscal year was 931,976 units, up
3.0 percent from the prior fiscal year.
- March was a record month for Altima Sedan, with sales of 27,085 units,
and Altima Coupe, which sold 3,492 units.
- The Rogue crossover continued its sales growth, with 6,873 units sold.
- The Versa subcompact experienced a record March with sales of 8,192
units.
- Combined sales of Nissan cars posted their best ever month of sales,
with 56,453 cars sold.
INFINITI HIGHLIGHTS
- Infiniti sales rose 7.3 percent on a daily sales rate basis, with
13,821 units sold, compared with last March's 13,877 units.
- Infiniti ended the fiscal year with sales totaling 127,026, up 2.7
percent from 124,504 units a year ago.
- The G35 Sedan experienced its best month in the 2007 fiscal year, with
sales of 5,805 units.
- The G37 Coupe posted an increase of 98.6 percent versus year-ago, on
sales of 2,464 units.
NNA INFORMATION
- Combined sales for Nissan and Infiniti of 106,921 marked an increase of
3.6 percent on a daily sales rate basis versus last March's sales of
111,119 units.
- Combined Nissan and Infiniti volume for the 2007 fiscal year was
1,059,002, up 3.0 percent versus last year's 1,035,003.
In North America, NNA's operations include automotive styling,
engineering, consumer and corporate financing, sales and marketing,
distribution and manufacturing.
