BMW Group Reports 9.6 Percent Increase in October Sales

The BMW Group in the U.S. (BMW and MINI combined) reported October sales of 26,821 vehicles, an increase of 9.6 percent over the 24,464 vehicles sold in October 2006. The BMW Group also increased its year-to-date sales volume to 275,094 vehicles, up 8.2 percent, compared to 254,297 vehicles in the same period of 2006.

BMW Brand Sales

Sales of BMW brand vehicles increased 12.6 percent in October for a total of 23,451 compared to 20,822 vehicles reported in the same month a year ago. Year-to-date BMW brand sales were up 8.6 percent, to 239,788 vehicles compared to 220,885 vehicles sold in the first ten months of 2006.

MINI Brand Sales

MINI USA reported October sales of 3,370 automobiles, down 7.5 percent from the 3,642 cars sold in October 2006. Year-to-date, the division reported sales of 35,306 automobiles, an increase of 5.7 percent, compared to the 33,412 cars reported in the first ten months of 2006.
