Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) today reported sales of 84,947 units in October, up 8.8
percent from the prior year. Nissan Division sales increased by 9.8 percent
over last year. Infiniti Division sales increased by 1.8 percent versus the
prior year.
NISSAN HIGHLIGHTS
- Nissan-brand vehicles saw sales of 74,992 units, a 9.8 percent increase
on a daily sales rate basis compared with last year's 65,689 units
sold.
- Altima sales experienced a record October, with sales of 21,778 units
marking a 41.9 percent increase over the prior year. Of the total
Altima sales, 3,117 units were of the Altima Coupe, which continues its
strong performance, and 927 were Altima Hybrid units.
- The all-new Rogue crossover in its first full month on the market saw
sales of 5,038 units, outpacing expectations.
INFINITI HIGHLIGHTS
- Infiniti sales increased by 1.8 percent on a daily sales rate basis,
with 9,955 units sold, as compared with last October's 9,406 units.
- The G Sedan experienced a record October, with sales totaling 3,652
units, a 26.7 percent increase. G Coupe sales reached 1,887 units, a
29.9 percent gain versus the prior year.
- The QX56 luxury SUV continued its momentum with sales of 1,127 units,
an 18.2 percent increase over the prior year.
NNA INFORMATION
- Combined sales for Nissan and Infiniti of 84,947 units, up 8.8 percent
compared with last October's sales of 75,095 units.
In North America, NNA's operations include automotive styling,
engineering, consumer and corporate financing, sales and marketing,
distribution and manufacturing.
