Nokia (NYSE: NOK)
announced today that it has completed its acquisition of OZ Communications
Inc, a privately held company with approximately 220 employees and
headquartered in Montreal, Canada. The deal was initially announced on
September 30, 2008.
By acquiring OZ, Nokia will address the fast growing consumer messaging
market by providing an affordable mass market email and instant message
platform for Nokia Series 40 devices, complementing the existing portfolio
of mobile messaging solutions for Nokia S60 devices.
