Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. enters the new year with solid positioning following a series of 2009 successes. The company has set a goal of selling one million Volkswagens and Audis by 2018, as part of the worldwide Volkswagen Group’s focus on becoming an economic and environmental leader in the global automotive industry.

Audi is making a lively start to 2010. The brand will launch eight new models in the course of the next twelve months. And Audi is also keeping its foot on the gas pedal in terms of investments.

In November AUDI AG delivered around 82,750 cars to customers – 8.9 percent more than in the preceding month (2008: 75,965). Between January and November Audi sold some 870,600 cars worldwide (2008: 920,689). The distance behind the record year of 2008 thus shrunk to 5.4 percent.
