Maintaining its usual show-stealing stance of recent European motor shows, Geneva’s PalExpo will be the setting for Renault’s latest two world debuts next week, in the form of Wind and New Mégane Coupé-Cabriolet.

The Duster project was born out of the simple premise that a real need existed in the world for an affordable, comfortable and rugged 4x4, a class which is currently not well served. Aware of this gap, the Renault group decided to develop an all-terrain vehicle aimed initially at emerging markets. The needs of European customers were also taken into account from the project outset.

Alain Prost will drive a competition version of Dacia Duster. The Frenchman chose Dacia for the values championed by the brand's vehicles, namely simplicity, efficiency and robustness. "I am delighted to be driving the Dacia Duster.

Dacia has extended its catalogue of vehicles capable of running on alternative fuels. Following the introduction of the highly successful Dacia Logan and Dacia Sandero 1.4 MPI 75 LPG, the brand is to release an E85 superethanol-compatible version of the celebrated Dacia Logan MCV estate in France.

A single version of Sandero Stepway, powered by a dCi 70 diesel engine, is to go on sale in France at the tax-paid price of €10,900 (taking the Dacia1 trade-in for scrap rebate of 1,000 € into account).

Today saw Dacia take the wraps off Sandero Stepway at simultaneous events at the Barcelona Motor Show and at the L'Atelier Renault showroom in Paris. The adventurer looks of this variant of Sandero seeks to build on the success enjoyed by Dacia's compact yet spacious hatchback, sales of which have reached 60,000 units across Europe and in the Maghreb region since its launch in July 2008.

Following the launch of Dacia Sandero dCi 70 and dCi 85 (120g of CO2/km), Dacia Sandero 1.2 16V (139g of CO2/km) in February, 2009, Dacia Sandero 1.4 LPG - which qualifies for the Dacia eco signature - rounds off Dacia's line-up of economical, ecological versions.

Dacia is breaking fresh ground and springs yet another surprise with the unveiling in Geneva of Duster, a futuristic, image-building crossover that promotes the same values for which the brand has stood from the beginning.

New Dacia Logan MCV benefits from the same design trends as those already seen on Dacia Sandero and New Dacia Logan. The larger grille features the Brand's new logo and is topped by a chrome trim.

The latest version of this celebrated three-volume saloon builds on the same strengths that forged the success of its predecessor, including unbeatable value for money in terms of performance and equipment, plus outstanding cabin space and exceptional reliability.

After the introduction of Logan, Logan MCV, Logan Van and Logan Pickup, Dacia continues to broaden its range with the release of a generously-dimensioned, five-door hatchback: Sandero.

Dacia has chosen the 2006 Geneva Motor Show to unveil its first-ever show car produced by Renault Design.
